Reflexology

Reflexology is the practice of applying pressure to the hands or feet, using specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. We work from the premise that there is a direct neurological connection between the feet and all the bodies’ organs and systems creating a map as shown below.

What to Expect in a Session

Lying or sitting in a relaxed position the session starts with gentle but firm opening exercises and stretching of the feet. Using a particular pressure that is strong and effective we cover the whole foot thus stimulating and relaxing the corresponding body parts.

The body’s organs, blood vessels etc. all receive an increase in blood, which brings more oxygen to each cell and flushes away the waste /toxins that are a by product of metabolism, to be then excreted by the body. It is well known that the lack of oxygen to our cells and the build up of toxins, are often the cause of many problems and dis-eases in the body.

~A session of reflexology is like giving the body a really thorough work out.
~A revitalised physical body naturally makes for a more focussed and clear mind, a lighter and more positive emotional state and a lifting of the spirits.

The body systems

Reflexology works on the following systems
Nervous system (solar plexus, spine, brain)
Endocrine system (hormonal)
Digestive system (stomach, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, intestines) Urinary (kidney, bladder)
Reproductive system (ovaries, womb, prostrate, testicles)
Respiratory system (lungs ;airways}
Skeletal system (bones)
Lymphatic system (spleen)
Circulation system (heart, blood vessels)
By using acupressure all over the foot we are optimizing the health of each organ and system bringing the body mind and spirit to a happier healthier state.
